Los Angeles, California, May 8, 2012 -- “Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend” announced today it hit 1 million downloads since its premier Feb. 13. The first live show dates will be on May 24 at UCB LA (guest is Garfunkel & Oates) and on June 22 at NerdMelt.
The weekly podcast features a lively mix of longform interviews and short segments such as "Just Me Or Everyone?" where listeners tweet odd things they do and Alison and her guest (along with tireless Producer Gary) determine whether this behavior is common or unique. Recent examples include never taking the first straw from a dispenser but instead pumping out a new one-- everyone does this; and worrying the wind will blow your ring off your finger if you hang your hand out the car window while driving-- just you. Rosen tends to drive the discussion toward relationships and relationship history/patterns, with notable exceptions (a recent episode with bestselling author and Food Network show host Lisa Lillien focused on food and diet and, improbably, Rosen's mixed feelings about escalators).
